1. Birdwatch Dawn Chorus
We’re hosting our first ever Dawn Chorus on Sunday 17th May. Led by Rob Wealdon of Birdwatch Ireland, this free event will identify all of the species of bird native to Ard Nahoo by their beautiful song. Let’s just hope the Cockrel doesn’t sing louder than the lot of them. Click here for more information.
2. Detox Retreat – Last Places
We still have a few places left on our 5 Day Detox, 1st – 6th May. You can find all the information about this great value retreat here, which includes daily yoga, daily sauna/hot tub sessions, daily guided walks and beautiful organic vegan food and juices. Can’t make it for the full five days? Make the most of the Bank Holiday and come for three, leaving on the Monday. No better way to kick start the new you in time for what promises to be a beautiful summer…
3. Beautiful Summer
A few months ago, I overheard a man on the street saying it’s going to be a long, hot summer. Then I read in The Times (admittedly in the Home section) that a famous long term forecaster has said the very same. Taking his forecasts from migration habits, the way plants are growing and the feeling in his waters, he predicts months in advance. Usually bad tidings. But I trust this man. And I trust the man in the street. So long hot summer, here we come!
4. Celebrity Banisteoir
The lads from Dromahair GAA are in the final of RTE’s Celebrity Banisteoir, led by Katherine Lynch. So if you’re watching, cheer them all along!
5. Green Weddings
We’re in the early planning stages of holding Green Weddings at Ard Nahoo. Ideal for intimate groups looking for a beautiful and ethical setting for their celebration. At this early stage, we make a solemn promise not to use the phrases “special day” or “blushing bride”. Keep an eye out for further developments.
