14 Leitrim based business people attended the July Business Network Meeting.

The agenda included an open forum discussion on Cutting Costs with input from all the attendees.

The following cost cutting items were discussed:

• Using contractors
• Shop around for insurance
• Get more than 1 quote
• Social Media Marketing
• Networking
• Measure costs monthly
• Review all telephone charges and packages/offers regularly. Use CallCosts.ie
• Top up mobile online to avail of additional free credit
• Consider removing the non-value (non paid for) items from your business activities. See Lean Manufacturing.
• Be effective and efficient
• Review electricity bill and options. Consider CFL Bulbs.

Some specific items were discussed in some details and overall attendees left the meeting with some good ideas.

The will be no meeting in August. The next network meeting will take place on Tuesday September 14th during Enterprise Week.
