West Cavan Fianna Fáil Councillor, John Paul Feeley has expressed his amazement at the revelation that Martin McDermott, the prisoner who escaped from Loughan House just over two weeks ago had previously escaped from the same institution in 2007.

Today (March 31) is the last day to pay your €100 Household charge. Leitrim County Council Head Office at Aras An Chontae, Carrick-on-Shannon, will be open today, Saturday from 10am to 4pm in order to accept Household Charge payments.
