The Chief executive of Leitrim County Council admits he would like to see tighter planning controls implemented for forestry companies.
The council has begin a process of asking the public their thoughts on the local authority’s forestry policy, with a survey being developed by the Public Participation Network.

He told Shannonside FM that from his own point of view, it would make sense if forestry developers did have to go through a planning process.
