Planning permission has been sought for a new childcare facility in Ballinamore, Co. Leitrim.
An application was lodged to Leitrim County Council to allow a change of use of St Patrick’s Boys National School to a childcare facility.
Ballinamore Childcare is currently in rented accommodation, but they are looking for a more permanent home in the boys school.
The former school has been vacant since 2018, which gave Ballinamore Childcare the opportunity to purchase it from St Felim’s Diocesan Trust.
A decision on the application is expected by the end of November this year.
