Storm Lorenzo will bring winds of up to 130 kilometers per hour in some areas this evening.
Orange and yellow weather warnings are in place across the country, and the latest announcement from Met Eireann has stated there is a yellow warning for Leitrim and Sligo. Status orange wind warnings have also come into effect for Galway, Mayo, Clare, Kerry and Limerick.
There will be west veering northwest winds with average speeds of 50 to 65km/h and gusts of 90 to 100km/h. The warning is valid from 6pm today until 6am tomorrow.
An Aer Lingus flight to and from Ireland West Airport at Knock and Gatwick London has been cancelled this evening.
