Unemployment figures for Shannonside counties have all decreased since last month.
CSO statistics show a total of 2,518 people on the Live Register in county Longford this month, which is a decrease of fifty four people compared to August. County Leitrim had the biggest drop with two hundred and twenty nine fewer people on the Register, with eighty seven of those from Carrick-on-Shannon and forty two from Manorhamilton.
Meanwhile, two thousand one hundred and sixteen people are unemployed in Roscommon, which is a decrease of eighty four people. Six hundred and fifty five of those are in Roscommon town, with a drop of sixty and twenty two respectively in Castlerea and Boyle social protection offices.
