Non-Executive Director of QIH, John McCartin, says the region has been ‘defaced’ because of an intimidation campaign against senior members of the company.
His comments come following a BBC Spotlight Special last night where QIH Director Kevin Lunney, who was abducted, tortured, and dumped in Cavan in September, spoke about his ordeal for the first time.
McCartin, who was present at a meeting yesterday with Garda Commissioner Drew Harris in Monaghan, has commended his colleague’s resilience but said they need to get to the root of the campaign.
This morning the Leitrim man stated that the region and Ireland don’t deserve this, as it is damaging the reputation of both.
He also reiterated that investors will walk away as opposed to giving into criminality of this nature.
