Leitrim to be prioritised for the development of Slow Adventure Tourism in Europe
Leitrim is one of two counties in Ireland that’s been prioritised for the development of Slow Adventure Tourism in Europe.
Alongside Derry, it has received funding to develop packages that offer a rural outdoor escape based on low numbers and family orientated.
The packages which are all tailor made and guided can include activities such as cycling, paddling, canoeing foraging, walking and nature trails through mountains, blueways and waterfalls.

There are 14 packages already set to go, with more to be developed in 2020.
